Stabæk Fotball is the football section of Stabæk IF, a Norwegian sports club from Bekkestua in Bærum.
Stabæk have played in the Norwegian Premier League since 1995 except for one season, having been relegated after finishing second last in the 2004 season. They were again promoted to the Premier League in 2005 and finished 5th in the Premier League in the 2006 season. In 2008 they won their first league title, after finishing second in 2007. Stabæk also won the Norwegian Cup in 1998, beating Rosenborg 3-1 in the final.
In 2009 a new women's football team was started within Stabæk IF and was named Stabæk FK. This new team took over most of the players from the bankrupt former Toppserien club Asker Fotball and has competed in the Toppserien from 2009. Stabæk Fotball is the first Norwegian football club with both their men's and woman's team in the premier divisions.
Stadium
Stabæk played home games at Nadderud stadion until 2008. Now they currently play their home games at Telenor Arena. Telenor Arena has a capasity of 15 000 people.
Chairman
On February 4th 2010 Einar Schultz was elected new chairman of Stabæk, replacing Ingebrigt Steen Jensen. Schultz has held various positions in the Stabæk system over the last five years.
